December 2022 to August 2025: start of a new blog of cyberinterviews in French, Vaperendezvous, about people involved in tobacco harm reduction in France.

April 2022 to present:  In April 2022, my 95 years old Mom, who lives in Britany, developed Age Macular Degeneration that deprived her suddenly of most of her eyesight. I created of a blog in French, Voyage en DMLA to collect information and develop advocacy while trying to help her manage the digital tools that could substitute for her new incapacity to read. A work still in progress, even if she befriended Alexa. She is so courageous, I wish Amazon, Audible, and all other megacorporations would develop programs centered around vocal commands  easy to use for people with macular degeneration.

May 2020 to October 2021: blog creator/editor on and off, of Honest Feedback, Questions to/about the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World advocating in vain for transparency about the use of millions of Philip Morris dollars by FSFW.

June 18, 2018 to January 2nd, 2019: On-Line Community Manager for the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World. Resigned to protest bullying by incompetent 'supervisor' after criticizing inept performance by costly advertising agency.

1997-1991: Executive Director of the French National Committee for Tobacco Control, Paris, France

Initiated and supervised more than 200 lawsuits to enforce the Tobacco Control Act.

Obtained more than $2 million in punitive damages and out of court settlements.

Initiated aggressive TV media campaigns funded by money from punitive damages and out of court settlements.

Successfully lobbied the French Health Ministry to save and implement the International Convention for Smoke-free flights.

Developed and managed the first Tobacco Quitline in France.

Developed a special stop smoking project designed to decrease smoking among pregnant mothers and their families.

Obtained grants and successfully led and organized five European projects under the auspices of the Europe Against Cancer Program.

Created the first tobacco control session within the International Congress on Anti- Cancer Treatment (inviting guest-speakers like Mitch Zeller, Greg Connolly, Stanton Glantz)

Launched the first daily tobacco control news service in French for the worldwide internet  based network UICC-Globalink.

Researched and wrote briefs for senior ministry officials on a variety of public administration issues including global and strategic planning related to tobacco control.

Led a staff of eight to fifteen professionals and numerous external consultants.

Directed extensive research, writing and production of in-depth reports on tobacco control.

Edited and managed production of organizational publications including newsletters, press reviews, public policy updates, association membership directories, non smoking guides to restaurants and public places.

Participated and contributed abstracts to four World Conferences on Tobacco or Health.

Interviewed on French national television, Good Morning America, BBC, Radio-Canada and various radio programs about tobacco control issues

1991-1986: Founder and Chairman of Tabac-Environnement, Paris, France

Created and developed this small advocacy non profit that ultimately led and organized the take over of the Board of the French National Committee for Tobacco Control by non-smoker's rights activists 

Produced the French version of the famous documentary Death in the West,  about dying cow-boys who smoked and Philip Morris

Led to the end of the distribution by SEITA of the Chevignon cigarettes brand that was targeting French youth including with schoolnotebooks of this brand by Clairefontaine.

Created the first survey of smoking habits of French elected officials and business leaders.

Produced and aired for the first time in France a TV clip on passive smoking and new borns.

Organized in partnership with the oil company ELF (as part of a settlement for illegal promotional practice of cigarette brands) a campaign to raise awareness about smoking in a car with children on board. 

1986-1978: Founder and Chairman, Association pour la Promotion du Papier Recylé, Paris, France

Created and developed a line of recycled paper stationery products.

Created a recycling center and successfully lobbied the Telecommunications Ministry to provide a national program for the recycling of all phone books.

Organized two international conferences on paper recycling.

Author of the award winning book L’Espoir des Arbres on forestry issues, paper waste and recycling. (Best Environmental Book of the Year in 1983)

Author of the official brochures and leaflets devoted to recycled paper for the French Environment Ministry.

Created a consumer cooperative and successful mail order catalog for recycled paper products.

Recipient of a grant from The U.S. German Marshall Fund to study recycling programs in the US.
